TrueMoneyGames to Sponsor European Backgammon Tour Portuguese Event
On March 12th, 2009, TrueMoneyGames announced that they will be the main sponsor of the European Backgammon Tour Portuguese Open beginning on May 12th, 2009 until May 27th, 2009. The Estoril casino will host the EBGT event. The European Backgammon Tour EBGT-Season III will have different stops and so far the confirmed stops are Portugal, France, Italy and Georgia. EBGT Tournament Director Chiva Tafazzoli said that they have enjoyed good weather in Estoril at their previous stops in Estoril so it will be an additional bonus for their backgammon players.
Back in 2007, the overall winner of the European Backgammon Tour was recognized as the "European Master" in Estoril and takes home a total of 10,000 euros and the "wandering award", the Golden Cube. It is a customize jewel masterpiece that is made of fourteen carat gold and 112 diamonds. As the official sponsor of the TMG Portuguese Open, TrueMoney Games will hold exclusive online tournament qualifiers. No other online site will feature qualifiers for this particular tournament. TrueMoneyGames's Marketing Manager said that their brand is constantly improving and therefore they are very committed in giving their players the most enjoyable backgammon experience.
TMG's marketing manager added that this not with their online gaming software, but trying to combine offline and online with a prestigious tournament like the EBGT. There will be various VIP packages to the TMG Portuguese Open given to the winners of the online qualifier events.
