Online Skill Games Provider Paf Appoints Inger Holmstrom as Communications and Relations Director
Aland-based gambling operator Paf has appointed a new Communications and Relations Director to make a unique identity for the organization as it seeks to strengthen its position against other online gambling operators in the international markets.
Paf started in 1966 in Alan Island, an autonomous area of Finland, from where it has been providing excellent gaming content to the Finnish gaming market since 1999. Duly-licensed by the government of Aland, Paf functions as a public association, returning its earnings back to the community.
Following the decision of the Finnish government to ban Paf from offering its gaming products to Finnish citizens, the organization has undergone a number of changes as it seeks to discover a role in an increasingly diversified and challenging internationalized gaming market. The group announced on August 27th, 2009 that it has appointed Inger Holmstrom to the position of Relations Director, with a task to define the market identity of Paf.
Holmstrom has been described as one of the most competent information and communications professionals in the country of Sweden, having previously served as the Communications Director of Posten, Sweden's mail service. Holmstrom said that in a group driven by effective communication, all staff are communicators and participate in solidifying and improving relations within the company.
Her task is to change Paf into such an organization. Holmstrom stated that Paf is somewhat a hybrid compared with other organizations. Paf is managed by the provincial government of Aland where the gaming earnings go to non-profit causes but Paf is a solid challenger among the foreign gaming companies.
Holmstrom added that the 1st challenge that she will be facing is finding the identity of the company, what binds the group together at this time of unprecedented expansion into new gaming markets.
Holmstrom's appointment follows the appointment of Anders Ingves earlier this year to the position of Chief Executive Officer, replacing Lars Porko who will retire from the group at the end of this year.
Ingves said that Inger Holmstrom is an excellent communications pro and she has worked with good brands in creating a one-of-a kind consumer focus. Her competence and vast experience will surely benefit Paf.
The gaming offering of Paf includes the skill game of backgammon and others. Paf is also a sponsor of La Liga's Atletico Madrid and manages football clubs online gaming site.
